I have taught English since 2012 and am currently the Head of English Language and Literature at the International School of Tanganyika in Dar es Salaam.
After studying English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford, I trained as an English teacher on the Teach First programme, qualifying with a PGCE from Canterbury Christ Church University in 2013. I have since worked as the Deputy Head of Department in two comprehensive schools in South East London.
In 2015 I completed my masters in Education Leadership at the Institute of Education (University College London). My dissertation was titled Leading English: How Effective Heads of Department Improve Teaching and Learning.
In July 2017 I won the TES schools awards Bev Evans Resource Author of the Year Award and I continue to share all of my teaching resources for free.
